a hybrid designer & developer that believes in creative outlets and continued learning.
I’m a hybrid designer and front-end developer who enjoys working at the intersection of design, usability, and code.
With a background in commercial art and over a decade of professional experience working remotely and independently, I’ve built a career that blends visual design with practical front-end development. My work has included roles as a graphic designer, web developer, content creator, and freelance consultant for a wide range of organizations.
I collaborate regularly with project coordinators, developers, and designers to deliver polished, user-focused digital experiences. At the same time, my freelance background has made me highly self-directed — comfortable taking ownership of projects, prioritizing work effectively, and meeting deadlines even when working independently.
My approach to design and development is rooted in clarity, accessibility, and performance. I enjoy turning complex ideas into clean, usable interfaces and building solutions that work well for both clients and end users.
Outside of web and design work, I spend time pursuing wildlife and landscape photography — a creative outlet that keeps me connected to the visual side of my work and continually reminds me to look closely at the details.

I've been designing for marketing purposes for over 25 years. I have worked with product packaging and sale sheets for a manufacturing company, website and multimedia design for a local theater, logo and advertising for non-profit organizations around the country, and, various types of marketing and branding for multiple clients while running my own freelance company. I've worked with over a hundred different types of clients, each with a unique brand or style.
With over 20 years of experience in the web design field, I have worked with a number of different languages and technologies. I have experience with CSS3 and HTML5 for creating both responsive and flexible websites. I have worked with the front-end, open source framework Bootstrap to build modular, flexible websites and applications. I have also used CSS Preprocessors, such as LESS and SASS.
For the past five years, one of my main focuses has been to design, code and deploy marketing emails for clients. My job included coding emails to act both responsively and adaptively for multiple screen sizes; create base wireframes and templates to reduce design times; train new designers on procedures; constantly find new techniques and technology to increase click rates from customers; help with minor copy writing and proofing.
One of my creative passions and outlets has been my photography. My emphasis is on wildlife, nature and landscapes. But, I continue to study other areas, as well. I am currently working on my skills with composite imagery, portraiture, and architectural/real estate photography.
